Cutting expenses (continued)
20) Go to thrift stores on 50% off days. In fact, if you can, go the day before when they are about to close and see what is there. Make a list and go back the next day on the way to work, if possible, and chances are you will find what you wanted on your list. I got a box of Britta filters for $1.50 and a beautiful hand made knitted afghan for $2.50 and a wicker chair with cushions for $2.50 by doing that.
21) Don’t eat out more than a few times a year.
22) Drink water. You save a lot of money and it’s infinately better for your health. Keep a plastic bottle with you filled with water.
23) If your office doesn’t recycle, bring paper that ends up in the garbage home with you and cut it into memo size sheets to use for scrap paper.
24) Go to ”GasPriceWatch.com”, put in your zip code, click on ”all prices” and see where you can get gas for the least amount in your area.
